EZVIZ is a home-oriented brand inside the Hikvision ecosystem. In 2025 the EZVIZ C6W pan-and-tilt line was refreshed — compact Wi-Fi cameras built for home, flat and small office. Let's go through what they can do, and when it makes sense to use them instead of a "big" CCTV project.
What EZVIZ C6W can do
- Pan-and-tilt Wi-Fi camera with a motor — you can steer the view from your phone.
- Colour night vision — you see what is going on even in low light.
- Built-in microphone and speaker — two-way audio to check in with family or calm a pet.
- Storage on local microSD and/or in the EZVIZ cloud.
- Quick in-app setup — no specialist knowledge required.
When C6W is the right choice
- Private flat or house: kids, nanny, elderly family members, pets.
- Small office or showroom where a full access-control system is overkill but visibility is still wanted.
- Home business — workshop, studio, a small craft space.
- Secondary coverage inside a property that already has "real" CCTV — for example in a kitchen or a nursery.
When you need proper CCTV rather than EZVIZ
- Restaurant, bar, large shop — this needs IP CCTV with NVR, PoE power and professional cameras (Hikvision, Dahua).
- A hotel with regulated archive-retention requirements — consumer Wi-Fi cameras in a consumer cloud will not do.
- A site with an outdoor perimeter — use purpose-built outdoor models and cabled infrastructure.
- Video-analytics scenarios: AI search, people counting, plate recognition — this is AcuSense or DeepinView territory.
«A good home camera is not a "mini CCTV" — it is a different tool. Trying to solve both jobs with one camera is a mistake.»
WLTT supplies and installs EZVIZ C6W and other ecosystem models in Thailand: from a single camera in a flat to combined "home + small business" deployments where EZVIZ devices sit alongside professional Hikvision IP CCTV.
