Hotel CCTV in Phuket: Key Design Considerations

Guest security starts with design: zone coverage, climate, privacy, storage, access control integration.

Guest Security Starts with Design

A hotel in Phuket has dozens of zones with different requirements: reception, lobby, corridors, lifts, parking, pool, perimeter and beach access. CCTV for a hotel cannot be "bought camera by camera" — it needs to be designed as a whole. Here's the WLTT approach.

By the way, many Phuket hotels also use cameras for live scenic webcams — browse a collection at Phuket webcams online.

What We Consider During Design

Full Zone Coverage

We map cameras to entries/exits, cash zones, lift lobbies, evacuation routes, parking, perimeter. The goal: a continuous movement picture with no blind spots.

Phuket Climate

Heat, humidity, salt air and monsoon rains. For outdoors — IP66/IP67 housings, anti-corrosion build, surge protection. Otherwise a coastal camera won't survive a season.

Guest Privacy & the Law

Cameras in public areas only. Guest rooms and private zones are off-limits. Recording retention and camera zones are configured in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and appropriate signage.

Storage & Access

We size archive depth (often 30+ days), spec backup power (UPS) and set up role-based access: security staff, management, and remote owner access via mobile.

Integration

We combine CCTV with access control (locks, barriers), fire and intrusion alarms — a single monitoring centre instead of disconnected systems.

Why WLTT

We are a local telecom and AV company in Thailand: we design, supply equipment, install, configure video analytics and maintain the system. We know local specifics — from electrical grids to insurer requirements and hotel chain standards.
