Ice Land Bingsu & Bubble Waffles is a popular Thai chain of Korean dessert cafés with several outlets on Phuket and in Bangkok. In 2019 the owners asked WLTT to tidy up their IT infrastructure and unify it across all locations.
The brief
- The same POS and kitchen printers on every site.
- A fast, stable network for POS, guests and CCTV.
- Video surveillance of the hall and tills on every site.
- A single point of support — no more separate admin for every café.
What we did
POS solution
We deployed a restaurant-grade POS system with role separation: host, waiter, cashier, manager. Kitchen printers print orders directly to the relevant zones — cold prep, bar, main kitchen. Menu, cost and reporting management run from a single cloud for all sites.
Network infrastructure
Every site is built to the same template: managed Mikrotik router, PoE switch, 1–2 Ubiquiti access points, an isolated guest WiFi and separate VLANs for POS and CCTV.
Video surveillance
Dahua IP cameras cover the hall, tills and entrances. Recording goes to a local NVR with cloud backup of key events. In case of incident the owner can pull up the footage straight from the mobile app.
Support
Network, POS and CCTV are covered by a single maintenance contract. Every site is monitored remotely: we see its status in real time and usually learn about an issue before the café staff notices it.
Outcome
- Opening a new location is a few days of rollout against a ready template — not a brand-new project.
- Staff is trained once — the POS interface is identical across the chain.
- The owner sees revenue, menu and equipment status across the whole chain from a single app.
Ice Land Bingsu & Bubble Waffles is an example of how a small but carefully put-together technology stack lets a chain grow fast and without the usual IT headaches.
