Migrating from Ocha POS to Syrve: moving the menu and accounting to a new system

How we move a restaurant from Ocha POS to modern Syrve with no operational downtime — with full migration of the menu, categories and analytics.

16 Apr 20255 min

In April 2025 we migrated another of our client's restaurants from Ocha POS to Syrve. Migrations like this are common in the Thai market: the owner launched on a boxed system, then a year or two later wants proper analytics, stock control, kitchen integration and convenient phone reporting. That is the ceiling Ocha hits — and where Syrve really shines.

What the migration covers

  • Full audit of the existing Ocha menu: dishes, modifiers, combos, categories, prices, taxes.
  • Designing the menu-card structure in Syrve: recipe cards, stock, kitchen stations, bar/kitchen splits.
  • Porting the menu, modifiers and categories to Syrve with maximum preservation of server workflow logic.
  • Configuring order printing to kitchen and bar printers, KDS screens.
  • Staff training: cashiers, servers, managers, the owner.
  • A parallel period where both systems run together for a few days for a smooth switchover.

Why owners move to Syrve

  • Full stock accounting and dish cost control — not just "what went through the till".
  • A practical mobile owner dashboard: revenue, average check, top dishes, problem items.
  • Integrations with loyalty programmes, reporting systems and external services.
  • Proper multi-location support with one menu database and shared oversight.
  • Predictable service and a partner in-country (WLTT) instead of "email support somewhere in the cloud".

How we work with a live restaurant

A restaurant cannot close for a migration; every day of downtime is lost revenue. We run on the venue's schedule: prep stages outside of service hours, full cutover overnight or on a closed day. On the first live day a WLTT engineer is on site to close any staff questions on the spot.

«A good POS migration is one the guest never noticed. Order taken, check printed, kitchen received it — from there it is the owner's internal kitchen.»
WLTT engineering team

If you are running on Ocha POS (or another boxed system) and have hit its ceiling — we will audit the setup, cost the move to Syrve and deliver the migration turnkey: licences, hardware, staff training and ongoing 24/7 service.
