PromptPay QR Integration with Syrve POS: Cashless Payments for Restaurants in Thailand

The WLTT team has finished building its own module that integrates Thailand’s PromptPay payment system with the Syrve POS platform. Restaurants running Syrve can now accept QR-code payments directly through the till.

In August 2026 the WLTT team completed the development and rollout of its own module that integrates Thailand’s PromptPay payment system with the Syrve POS platform. Restaurants, cafés and bars running Syrve in Thailand can now accept payments by QR code — the most popular cashless payment method in the country.

Why it matters

PromptPay is the national instant-transfer system launched by the Bank of Thailand. According to the BOT, more than 75% of cashless transactions in the country go through QR codes. A guest opens their banking app, scans the code — and the money reaches the restaurant’s account within seconds.

Until now, restaurant owners on Syrve in Thailand had to accept PromptPay transfers outside the POS system — reconciling amounts by hand, keeping a parallel ledger, or abandoning QR payments altogether. In practice it looks like this: the guest transfers the money, shows the phone screen to the cashier, who photographs the confirmation on their own smartphone “just in case”. At the end of the shift the manager compares dozens of screenshots against receipts — and still cannot guarantee that no payment was lost. Our module solves this: the payment flows through the till, is recorded in the system and automatically closes the order.

How it works

The module consists of three components:

  • A plugin for Syrve POS — installed on the POS terminal. The cashier selects the “PromptPay QR” payment method and a unique QR code with the order amount is printed on the receipt printer. The guest scans the code with their banking app and pays.
  • A cloud middleware — a server that links the plugin to the Stripe payment gateway. It creates the payment intent, generates the QR data, tracks the payment status and notifies the till of the result.
  • Owner notifications — the manager or owner receives an instant message in Telegram / LINE about every successful (or failed) payment. Setup takes 30 seconds: just scan the bot’s QR code.

What happens at the till

  • The cashier closes the order and selects the “PromptPay QR” payment.
  • A QR code with the amount is printed on the receipt printer.
  • The guest scans the code in their mobile bank and confirms the transfer.
  • The till automatically receives confirmation and closes the order.
  • The owner receives a notification in Telegram.

The whole process takes 10–15 seconds. If payment does not arrive within a configurable timeout (5 minutes by default), the order returns to the active list.

Key features

  • QR printing on the receipt printer — no separate screen or tablet needed. The QR is printed on the standard 80 mm thermal printer already present in every venue.
  • Automatic order closing — once payment is confirmed, the till closes the bill without cashier involvement.
  • Telegram and LINE notifications — the owner sees every payment in real time: amount, order number, time and status.
  • Automatic plugin updates — on Syrve startup the plugin checks for a new version on the server and updates itself automatically. Manual reinstallation is no longer needed.
  • Transparent reporting — every venue gets access to its own Stripe payment-gateway dashboard with a full transaction history, statements and analytics.
  • Multi-tenancy — a single server serves an unlimited number of restaurants. Each venue works with its own Stripe Connect payment account.

Security and finance

Payments go through Stripe — a licensed payment gateway certified to PCI DSS Level 1. Funds arrive directly in the restaurant’s account. WLTT does not store or process guests’ bank card or account data.

Each venue receives an isolated Stripe Connected Account with its own dashboard, statements and payout settings.

Licensing and support

The PromptPay module is supplied to WLTT clients as part of a complete automation package. The license is activated with a unique key, tied to the hardware and managed remotely. Service support is available 24/7 in Russian and English.

«PromptPay is the payment standard in Thailand. A restaurant that does not accept QR loses guests. Our goal was to build this payment method right into the Syrve till — so that for the cashier it is a single button, and for the owner it is full transparency on every payment.»

Where it works

The module is available to all WLTT clients running Syrve POS in Thailand: Phuket, Pattaya, Bangkok, Samui, Krabi, Hua Hin and other regions. Installation and setup are carried out remotely or with an on-site engineer visit.
