In June 2026 the WLTT team attended Prolight + Sound Guangzhou — Asia's largest event for sound, lighting, multimedia and AV integration professionals. The exhibition takes place annually at the China Import and Export Fair Complex and gathers hundreds of manufacturers and thousands of specialists from across the continent.
For us this is a working trip, not a leisure one: we arrive with a specific task list — evaluate new equipment hands-on, discuss real-world cases with vendor engineers, attend technology training sessions and find new suppliers for our projects in Phuket and other regions of Thailand.

Dante AV Seminars & Conferences
One of the key focuses of our trip was the Dante AV seminars — Dante is the industry standard for transmitting audio and video over IP networks and is increasingly adopted in commercial installations. The exhibition featured many manufacturers from different countries — the scale is truly impressive.

What we learned:
- Dante AV Ultra — the next generation of the protocol enabling 4K video transmission with minimal latency over standard Ethernet networks. This simplifies multimedia system integration in restaurants, conference rooms and sports venues.
- Dante network design best practices — common deployment mistakes in HoReCa: wrong switch selection, missing multicast filtering, QoS issues on budget switches.
- Equipment compatibility — which amplifiers, DSP processors and ceiling speakers are certified for the Dante ecosystem and available for delivery to Thailand.

Dante is a direction we are actively investing in: more and more of our restaurant and hospitality projects are built on IP audio instead of analogue lines. The exhibition gave us the opportunity to compare equipment from different vendors first-hand and discuss nuances directly with protocol developers.
Partner Meetings
Prolight + Sound is also a venue for face-to-face meetings with our existing partners. This year we held working sessions with representatives of key vendors.

- AUDAC — discussed the new range of installation amplifiers and ceiling speakers for the restaurant segment. Reviewed prototypes with built-in Dante interfaces. Special attention to the VIRO series and wall-mounted control panels.
- Network equipment manufacturers — updated the PoE switch compatibility matrix for Dante devices.
- LED equipment manufacturers — explored new architectural LED solutions for restaurants and bars: controllable profiles, DMX/DALI integration, non-standard form factors.

New Equipment & Technologies
Beyond audio, we focused on several areas that directly impact our projects:
- Compact DSP processors with Dante — solutions for small restaurants and cafés that need audio zoning without a server rack.
- IP lighting controllers — architectural lighting management systems over a unified IP network, enabling combined light and sound projects.
- New outdoor speaker models — all-weather speakers with IP66/67 protection, essential for beach club projects in Phuket.
- AV-over-IP solutions — video distribution over LAN for digital signage and multimedia installations in hotels and sports complexes.

New Contacts & Partners
Every such exhibition is an opportunity to expand our supplier pool. This year we established contacts with several new manufacturers:
- Chinese professional power amplifier manufacturers — compact Dante-certified models suitable for restaurant installations.
- AV matrix and switcher manufacturers — solutions for multi-room video in hotels and conference halls.
- Acoustic material suppliers — panels and solutions for improving acoustics in restaurant halls.
- Wireless systems for tours and events — Tour Guide systems applicable for event venues.

All new contacts go through our standard procedure: sample request → lab testing → pilot project → inclusion in our working matrix. We never install equipment at a client site that we haven't tested ourselves.
What This Means for Our Clients
- We see equipment before it appears in distributor catalogues — and can recommend the optimal solution as soon as it becomes available.
- Direct contact with vendor engineers speeds up resolution of non-standard project challenges.
- Up-to-date Dante AV expertise — the ability to design next-generation audio systems today.
- An expanded supplier base — more options in terms of price/quality/logistics for every project.
WLTT attends professional exhibitions not for social media photo reports. It is an investment in the quality of the projects we deliver every day — from a small café in Bang Tao to a large hotel complex. Trips like these are an essential part of why we can confidently recommend specific equipment and stand behind its performance for years after project handover.
